Description:
SSG4600 is a high-strength, two-part silicone elastomeric adhesive/sealant for use in a multitude of structural glazing applications, including the fabrication and shop glazing of curtainwall systems. The outstanding mechanical properties of SSG4600 provide additional performance to an already time-tested UltraGlaze product line, significantly expanding the design flexibility for architects and specifiers. And, SSG4600’s ease of use in application allows for an efficient fabrication process eliminating the efficiency-for-performance trade-off.

- Strength properties – combining high tensile strength, high tear strength, and the capacity to absorb high deformations (elongation), SSG4600 is an exceptional choice for many protective glazing and seismic applications.
- Movement capability – once cured, silicone exhibits +/- 25% movement in both extension and compression, capable of withstanding daily exposure to various weather conditions.
- Silicone durability – once cured, silicone exhibits excellent long-term resistance to natural weathering, including: extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, and precipitation, with negligible change in elasticity.
- Adhesion – SSG4600 features primerless adhesion to most nonporous construction materials, eliminating the risks associated with improper primer application, including inconsistent adhesion resulting from improper primer application. SSG4600 also reduces costs associated with primer and subsequent labor. It can be used with many substrates and finishes, including: glass, polycarbonate, coated and anodized aluminum, and ceramic frits.
